Community Meeting To Discuss Master Plan For MLK, Jr. Park
Join the City of Winter Park and GAI Consultants’ Community Solutions Group Tuesday, April 25, at 6 p.m., at the Rachel D. Murrah Civic Center located at 1050 W. Morse Blvd., for a public meeting to help shape the future of Martin Luther King, Jr. (MLK) Park. If you currently enjoy the park, may use the park in the future or have an interest in the development of the park, attendance at this meeting would be beneficial.
This is the initial public meeting for the MLK Park master planning process. Park planners and designers will:
- give an overview of the existing site conditions to help attendees understand the opportunities and constraints for development
- identify the public’s opinions, wishes and needs for the park’s future
This first meeting will focus on the overall park and will not include discussions regarding the northwest corner of the park where the future library and events center will be built. The library and events center area of the park will be incorporated into the master planning discussion as it moves forward.
