Mayor McDonald – August 2016

Maitland Mayor Dale McDonald
Recap Of Last Week’s Downtown Master Plan Update Sessions
Earlier this month, the City hosted a three-day Downtown Master Plan Update Design Workshop, led by City contractor GAI Community Solutions Group.
- Day 1: GAI and City staff sketched out a draft map of future development in the downtown corridor.
- Day 2: The general public and the Steering Committee reviewed the sketch.
- Day 3: GAI presented to the public the first draft of the Downtown Master Plan Update. Residents asked questions and provided feedback to the draft’s authors.
GAI will refine the draft over the next month in advance of review by the resident advisory boards in August, followed by the City Council in September. See the schedule and the map on www.itsmymaitland.com and look for the black link titled “Downtown Master Plan Update – Our Town Maitland.” Check out the Facebook page, @itsmymaitland, for a video of the meeting.
